Back on the East Coast
After a marathon 28-hour trek spread over three days, we’ve traded the dusty roads of the Yorke Peninsula for the lush, salty embrace of the North Coast. And man, it feels good to be back.
The first week threw us a classic February welcome—northerly winds trying to ruffle our feathers—but with a solid, consistent swell rolling through, there were plenty of waves to be had. A little patience and the right timing turned the conditions from challenging to all-time.
I shot four beaches this week, each offering up its own slice of North Coast magic. From world-class point breaks that have earned their legendary status, to tucked-away nooks known only to a lucky few, and wide-open, untouched beaches begging for a solo paddle—this place delivers the goods.
Whether it’s the hum of a perfect wall peeling down the point or the thrill of stumbling onto a peak with no one out, the North Coast never disappoints. Stoked to be back, and frothing for what’s to come!
