Sea Chapel Surf Photography Sunshine Coast

Geraldton, WA

Geraldton has surprised us. It is the first time in months that I’ve rocked up to a beach and felt like home. There is some really cool and unique surfing options in the Geraldton area.

Back Beach.
Just south of town is back beach. It is an open beach that feels familar to anyone on the east coast. It works with multiple peaks and the water clarity was insane.

Drummonds Beach.
This is a fun beach because you can drive on the beach and find a spot that is working. It operates similar to Back Beach, yet seemed to be a foot smaller.

Coronation Beach
You’ll need a 4wd to get to the point, but it looked amazing even on a complete high cross wind afternoon.

Flat Rock.
We were hyped on this beach, but the two times we went (30mins south of Gero) it was rubbish and I really don’t know how it works for surfing. Must need a lot of swell and a good tide.
